Your Commission Journey: Step by Step

Step 1: Initial Consultation (Free) We’ll discuss your vision, space, preferred colors, size requirements, and the inspiration behind this piece. This conversation helps me understand exactly what you’re hoping to have me create. I’ll create initial sketches and color concepts based on our discussion, and we’ll confirm price and size.

Step 2: Concept Development & First Approval

You’ll receive 2-3 preliminary designs to choose from. Once you approve the concept, a 30% non-refundable deposit secures your commission slot and begins the process.

Step 3: Layout Approval & Second Deposit

Once the design is sketched onto your chosen substrate (canvas, board, fabric or wall) and ready to develop, another approval is required. Any changes to the design must be made before moving forward. A second 30% deposit is required at this stage. I’ll provide a detailed timeline for completion.

Step 4: Creation Process

I’ll keep you updated with progress photos as your artwork comes to life. This typically takes 4-6 weeks depending on size and complexity.

Step 5: Final Approval & Delivery

You’ll receive photos of the completed piece for final approval before delivery or pickup is arranged. The remaining balance is due in full upon completion unless otherwise arranged.
